The Love of God

If you love me, keep my commands.

-John 14:15

The Most High has shown me why it’s best to follow Him—even before I truly knew Him, even when I couldn’t see it at the time. He has ALWAYS protected me, even in the situations I walked into because of my own foolish decisions. I’ve been through some things, yet He saved me from every one of them. Now, He even shows me danger before it manifests, and I know peace. 

Whenever I felt alone, He reminded me that I wasn’t. He has done exceptional things in my life. And because of all this and so much more, I love Him. I love Him because He showed me how protective He is, even when I was hell-bound.

I keep His commandments because He has proven Himself to be safe.

I keep His commandments because I love Him.

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
