He’s a Gentle and Understanding Father

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

I truly love You. In no wise, would I ever want to abuse Your grace and mercy. As if I could even possibly think of doing such a thing without Your knowledge. You know all, including my thoughts and the intentions of my heart.

Thank You for being so merciful towards me. Thank You for being so understanding of me and my shortcomings. I don’t mean to fall when I do, but it is so difficult living in the flesh. All my life, while I was of the world, I've been taught to do what makes me happy. All praises to You for choosing me, I now know that true peace comes only from serving You in the name of Christ, my Lord and Savior.

I desperately need Your empathy. I desperately need Your love. I desperately need You.

I don't want to sit here and convince myself that I'm a good person. I'm nothing if I don't love You. I'm nothing if You don't love me. Because of this and how badly I want to be closer to You, I greatly appreciate Your tenderness towards me. Please purge me of every thing in me that is not of You, and make into a child You treasure, adore, and want to protect from all evil.

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore
